US Investigating Possible Chinese Hacking of Laptop
Security - Hacking
The United States is investigating a possible breach of security involving the laptop computer of senior official in the Commerce Department.

Secretary Carlos Gutierrez had a laptop computer with him on a recent trip to China but left it out of sight for some time during the visit. Shortly thereafter, his department's computer network may have been the target of serious and concentrated attacks from China reports say.

Chitika CPM Ads Now Available

Chitika has announced that that their effort to bring CPM banners to their network of publishers and blog writers (bloggers) is live.

"the results are excellent as we have seen an immediate increase in revenue across the board," said the ad network's statement.

Your author is a blogger and magazine publisher using Chitika but I've yet to see any revenue attributable to the new CPM advertising inventory.

Ad Review Center From AdSense - Flawed

Google's AdSense unit rolled out a wider beta invitation of the Ad Review Center. Apparently we qualified and took it for a spin.

While a big step up from zero in-account ad review capabilities, the execution, as is common with Google and especially the AdSense and AdWords departments, fails in several key areas.
