Avandia Diabetes Drug Gets FDA Heart Warning - Video
Avandia, the popular diabetes drug used across the United States, got a new warning label cautioning patients that it could possibly increase the risk of heart attacks in some circumstances.
The move comes many months after the New England Journal of Medicine published a report raising the issue.
While the Food and Drug Administration refused to pull Avandia from the market, it will continue to study cardiac risks for diabetes patients and report to congress.
