The new Brilliance iCT scanner will dramatically improve the speed and quality of difficult to image organs and patients according to Dr. Stephen Tamarkin, a diagnostic radiologist. He says the system can produce unprecedented quality in 3D images of the heart in as little as two beats.
A demonstration of the speedy diagnostic tool was recently given at the MetroHealth Medical Center. Even patients who have difficulty holding their breath can be imaged full body, head to toe, in just about 5 seconds said Dr. Tamarkin.
